It would be premature and unfair to lay lavish praise leading to high expectations on professional rookies.  However, getting potential to the maturation point is what the NBA Development League is all about.

Nine players are looking to make the jump from training camp to making their professional debut for the Sioux Falls Skyforce in less than two weeks.  The active roster can only hold ten men total, so some will not make the cut.

Miami Heat training camp is the source for three of the nine.  Six rookies were drafted over the weekend and will do their best to impress.

Skyforce General Manager Adam Simon strongly believes in the entire draft crop.  “We’re excited to have acquired several young players who we feel have a lot of talent and potential.  We feel this group will bring a lot to our team and will bring the same toughness and character that is part of the Skyforce culture.”  The statement came via press release following the draft.
