Alex Bowman will replace Dale Earnhardt Jr. in the #88 Chevy next season as Jr. retires from the sport of racing.

Bowman isn't a household name and although in Nascar circles he is seen as a up and coming talent, it is like going from Lebron James as your best player to having Josh Jackson be your star.  (Josh Jackson is a rookie in the NBA with the Suns)

See my point.  Lots of talent but not a household name and there isn't a more household name in the NBA than Lebron and in racing than Earnhardt.

Bowman did fill in for Earnhardt Jr. last year for 10 races while he was out with the concussion issues.

According to reports, Nationwide will stay on as sponsor for 19 races while Axalta Coating Systems will handle 15.
