For many years the South Dakota All-Star Football game has been held in Aberdeen. That will change next year as the DakotaDome will host the event.

The Vermillion Area Chamber & Development Co. and Sanford Health have partnered together and won the bid to host the game inside the venue that currently hosts the State Championship games. The 2016 All-Star game will take place on July 9, but the event will move into early June in future years according to the official press release.

A recognition banquet will be open for parents, coaches, and alumni. Players that are selected to play will stay in the USD residence halls.
