If you look closely at any hardcore football fans face today you'll probably see a little tear starting to swell up in the corner of their eye as football season starts to make its descent.

The Big Game of course, is right around the corner on Sunday, February 1st in Glendale Arizona at the University of Phoenix Stadium, the home of the Arizona Cardinals.

Buck up all you fellow pigskin fans, there's still one BIG tailgate party left to attend!

South Dakota’s Largest Tailgate Party kicks off January 31st and February 1st in Deadwood, South Dakota. Road trip!

Check this out, S'mores on Main Street, burbon tasting, a Grillin' Brat Station and TV giveaways are among events planned.

The event will also include the largest big-screen television in the state, a welcome tailgate reception, football throwing contests, a chili cook-off, autograph sessions and more, according to chairman Mike Trucano.

Trucano says, "You’ll have as much fun in Deadwood as you’ve ever had because this is becoming a signature event that caps a great year of football, celebrates the game and provides some small measure of relief for those less fortunate among us.”

South Dakota's Largest Tailgate party is now in its fourth year and the proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society, local cancer charities and all brat proceeds will benefit 4-year-old Grayuson Chapeau’s battle with cancer.

The event is sponsored by the Deadwood Business Club and supported by the Deadwood Chamber, Big D, Fisher Beverage and Reinhart FoodService.

There's even a couple of former NFL players serving as grand marshals for this years event. Rapid City native John Dutton who played for the Dallas Cowboys and Bob Martin of David City, Nebraska who spent the early part of his NFL career playing for the New York Jets.

According to Trucano, "Dutton and Martin are Midwestern boys.” “These guys were truly stars in the NFL in the ‘70s and ‘80s. They are nice men who will be here to have a great time for a great cause.”

If you're looking to send off the 2014 NFL season in style, South Dakota's Largest Tailgate Party kicks off Super Bowl weekend with a Welcome Tailgate Reception from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, at B.B. Cody’s, 681 Main St in Deadwood.
