VERMILLION, S.D.-- - Three second half goals helped South Dakota overcome an 0-2 deficit and register a win over the College of St. Mary Flames. It was the first victory of the year for USD.

Teagan Eberle (Schaumburg, Ill.) sparked the comeback with a goal eight minutes into the second half. She lined up a left-footed shot from the left-edge of the box that hit off the inside of the right crossbar and into the net. Less than 10 minutes later Eberle assisted on a goal by Danielle Anderson (Elkhorn, Neb.). Anderson broke away from the defense and beat the goalkeeper with a shot into the upper left corner of the net.

Just over a minute after the Coyotes tied the score at two a defensive miscue by the Flames gave Jenny Teslow (Sioux Falls, S.D.) a clear path to the goal. She beat the CSM keeper by flicking the ball to her left and walked the ball into the empty net. Teslow and Anderson each have three goals for the South Dakota.

Jen Shaefer (Cary, N.C.) checked into the game as the Coyote goalkeeper with 38 minutes remaining in the second half and got the win. Her goalie record is a perfect 1-0.

Abby Schlater and Katie Pickenpaugh scored goals for College of St. Mary.

The win improves USD's season record to 1-3-1.
