It sounds like Crystal Dynamics' Tomb Raider reboot may be getting new life early next year on next generation consoles, but publisher Square Enix is being coy about confirming the truth.

Earlier this week, a listing for Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition showed up on Amazon Italy (it's since been pulled), with both the PlayStation 4 and an unspecified platform availability declared. Developer Crystal Dynamics has remained mum on the subject, but that hasn't stopped parent company Square Enix for stoking the flames a bit more.

"It’s so hard to keep a secret these days! We appreciate all of the enthusiasm, however we don’t have any details to share just yet," a Square Enix rep told DualShockers. "That said, we highly recommend you keep an eye on any major gaming events happening in early December."

It just so happens there'll be a somewhat important event in the annual VGX awards show on Dec. 7, so perhaps Square will indeed have more to show in just a few weeks. We quite enjoyed the new Tomb Raider, and playing it again on next-gen consoles doesn't sound like the worst idea while we wait for an official next-gen entry.
