Thirty-seven student athletes from the University of South Dakota and 35 from South Dakota State have been honored as Summit League Distinguished Scholars for the recently completed fall semester.

In order to be named a Distinguished Scholar, student-athletes must have at least a 3.60 grade-point average in the semester of their championship event and must use a year of eligibility.

Kansas City had a league-high 38 student-athletes on the list.
