EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) — Finally, wide receiver Jerome Simpson can join the Minnesota Vikings.

Simpson is eligible to make his Vikings debut this Sunday at Detroit. He has served his NFL-issued three-game suspension for violating the league’s substance abuse policy, stemming from an offseason felony drug conviction tied to a marijuana shipment to his home.
The Vikings are counting on Simpson’s speed to stretch the field for fellow wide receiver Percy Harvin and running back Adrian Peterson.
