Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN – The Minnesota Twins announced today that they will reinstate right-handed pitcher Anthony Swarzak from the 15-day disabled list prior to Friday night’s game in Seattle.

Swarzak was placed on the disabled list on July 26 (retroactive to July 25) with a mild right rotator cuff strain. Prior to the injury, Swarzak had posted a 4.43 ERA (69.0 ip, 34 er) with a 2-4 record in 31 appearances.

To make room for Swarzak on the 25-man roster, the Twins have optioned right-handed pitchers Jeff Manship and Luis Perdomo to Triple-A Rochester.

The Twins will make a corresponding roster move on Friday.
