A.J. Kirby-Jones hit two home runs and had five RBIs to lead the Sioux Falls Canaries to a 9-3 rout of the Gary Southshore RailCats Monday night at the Birdcage.

The Sioux Falls Canaries continued their hot play at the Birdcage as they used a complete game from starting pitcher Kyle Ruwe to go with a five-run third inning from the bats to top the St. Paul Saints 7-3 Saturday evening.

The Sioux Falls Canaries were unable to work the series in their favor against the Gary Southshore RailCats Wednesday night, falling behind 7-0 after four innings en route to a 9-6 loss. A late rally gave Canaries fans some hope, but the slow start doomed the Birds.

In an impressive win from start to finish, the Sioux Falls Canaries took the opener from the Central Division-leading Gary Southshore RailCats 6-3 Monday night. Kyle Ruwe earned his second win of the season pitching six strong innings.

Rain delayed the start of Friday night's game for an hour, but the Sioux Falls Canaries and Sioux City Explorers were finally able to get underway with the Xs taking a 7-5 victory.

The Sioux Falls Canaries carried the momentum from a Sunday doubleheader sweep to squeeze a 3-2 victory past the Amarillo Sox Tuesday night at the Birdcage.
