Carlos Mendez hit a game-winning two-run home run in the eight inning to give starting pitcher Joe Bircher and the Sioux Falls Canaries a 5-3 victory over the Winnipeg Goldeyes on Sunday.

The Sioux Falls Canaries opened a seven-game homestand in memorable fashion Friday night thanks to a walk-off solo homerun by Sam Lind that clinched the 7-6 victory over the Sioux City Explorers.
