In the end it was bittersweet for both teams as Sioux Falls and Fort Wayne played game one of the new NBA Development League season.  Victory came to the Skyforce in the form of a 77-70 rumble in front of 5,129 gathered at Allen County War Memorial Coliseum on Saturday night.

Marcos Rodriguez' RBI double in the top of the 12th inning scored the winning run for the Sioux Falls Canaries in a 13-10 marathon victory over the St. Paul Saints Wednesday night at Midway Stadium.

On the strength of a five-run seventh inning, the St. Paul Saints overtook the Sioux Falls Canaries, handing the Birds a 7-5 loss on Tuesday afternoon at Midway Stadium.
