All the past success didn’t matter one bit Friday night. Kevin Love had 17 points, 16 rebounds and four assists in just 28 minutes, and the Timberwolves beat Garnett for the first time since he left Minnesota in a 111-81 victory over the woeful Nets on Friday night.

Without Kevin Garnett roaming the paint, Nikola Pekovic flattened the reeling Boston Celtics Monday night. Pekovic bruised and battered the overmatched Boston front line for 29 points to lead the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 110-100 victory.

Kevin Garnett scored 18 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and remained unbeaten against his former team as the Boston Celtics beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 104-94.
