Oakland A's get Twins Sam Fuld for Tommy Milone

A big hit from Sam Fuld and a quick recovery by Glen Perkins gave the Minnesota Twins a win that temporarily helped them forget about a season that's slipping away.

Minnesota's Phil Hughes pitched into the eighth inning, Sam Fuld barely cleared the wall with his second home run of the season and the Twins beat the Seattle Mariners 2-0 on Tuesday night.

Asdrubal Cabrera had four hits and three RBIs, Michael Brantley also homered and the Indians beat the injury-riddled Minnesota Twins 9-4 Thursday for their first three-game winning streak this season.

Sam Fuld had enjoyed plenty of success at Tropicana Field. For the Minnesota Twins, big moments in the ballpark had been fleeting. Aaron Hicks hit a three-run homer, Fuld had a pair of RBI doubles and the Twins beat the Tampa Bay Rays 9-7 Thursday.

Given an opportunity by the Twins, Chris Colabello is showing his gratitude by driving in runs at a record-setting pace. Colabello's four RBIs carried Minnesota to a 12-inning, 6-4 win over the Tampa Bay Rays on Wednesday night.
