A two goal third period lifted Team USA to a 4-1 victory over Russia in the gold medal game of the World Junior A Challenge in Canada on Sunday. Sioux Falls Stampede forward Dennis Kravchenko set up fellow forward C.J. Franklin for the fourth goal of the game that cemented the victory at 13:12 of the third period.

Sioux Falls native Zeb Knutson scored twice and Dennis Kravchenko added an assist to help lead the United States past Russia 8-3 in the first game of the World Junior A Challenge in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia on Tuesday.

The Sioux Falls Stampede’s top line of Zeb Knutson, Dennis Kravchenko and C.J. Franklin have been named to the 22-man roster for the 2013 World Junior A Challenge next month in Nova Scotia.
