Tom Walsh Announces New Golf Tour Coming To Sioux Falls

The Sioux Falls Convention and Visitors Bureau and GreatLife Malaska Golf & Fitness announced Wednesday that we have a new golf tour coming to town.

CVB Executive Director Teri Schmidt & GreatLife President Tom Walsh Sr. kicked of today's announcement by letting everyone know that "This is a big deal".  And it is.

According to Symetratour.com, the Symetra Tour is the Road to the LPGA.  The Sioux Falls GreatLIFE Challenge is coming to Willow Run Golf Course here in Sioux Falls, South Dakota from September 3-6, 2015.

The Sioux Falls GreatLIFE Challenge will be the first Symetra Tour event in the state of South Dakota in the 35-year history of the Tour.

The idea for the event was born when The Sioux Falls Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) first made contact with LPGA representatives in 2013, and again in 2014, at the National Association of Sports Commission (NASC) Trade Show. The CVB flew the leadership in to Sioux Falls for a site visit in June of this year as part of the bureau’s “SeeForFree” marketing program to secure new business to Sioux Falls.

Tom Walsh promises that "This will be the best stop on the Symetra Tour".
