The Minnesota Twins are bringing another top prospect to the Big Leagues.

After calling-up Byron Buxton, the Twins are now making the call to bring Alex Meyer to the Majors.

Meyer was moved to the bullpen in Class AAA, Rochester. He will continue to pitch for the Twins in the bullpen.

In his last 10 games at Rochester, he was 1-1 with 27 strikeouts and a 2.08 ERA in 21.2 innings pitched.

As a Twins fan, it's exciting to see management and coaches see that the future is now and is willing to do what it takes to stay competitive.

Minnesota 39-33 and 3 1/2 games out of first place. The Twins play the Milwaukee Brewers Friday at Miller Park. Trevor May is slated to start against the Brewers' Kyle Lohse.
