Major League Baseball is rolling the dice for the opener next spring at Target Field.

The Twins will travel from Florida to the Twin Cities to start the new season, perhaps in snow.

For the first time since Target Field opened in 2010, the Minnesota Twins will start the 2013 campaign with a home series, April 1-4 against the Detroit Tigers.

It’s also a year when Interleague play across MLB spreads out across the entire season. As a result, the Twins will host the New York Mets (and Johan Santana) and Miami Marilns in April.
