UCLA made the Pac12 Conference Tournament Championship game and a berth in the NCAA Tournament as a #6 seed, but that wont be enough for Ben Howland to keep his job.

UCLA will be moving forward with out Ben Howland as their head coach according to multiple reports.

Coming on the heels of a loss to the #11 seed Minnesota Gophers and season with turmoil and inconsistencies, the news wasn't shocking.

The Los Angeles Times reported Saturday night that Howland has denied that he's been told he's been fired. Howland, a source told ESPN.com, is currently at his home in Santa Barbara.

Its been a roll a coaster of a program at UCLA since their appearances in the Final Four under Howland.  Mostly inconsistencies with scoring in games to control of the program in general contributed to the eventual dismissal.

UCLA actually may of made a tactical error in firing Howland, because it was also widely reported this year that Howland may just indeed step down amid all the speculation of his firing.

Howland will also have no trouble finding another job especially since his resume is lathered with great success at Pittsburgh and UCLA.
