In a surprise move on Friday, the University of Minnesota announced the resignation of Athletic Director Norwood Teague.

The school announced that Teague submitted his resignation after three years on the job at the U.

President Eric Kaler accepted Teague's resignation effective immediately.

Reports are that Teague resigned because of allegations of sexual harassment from some employees.

Numerous moves were made by Teague during his tenure as AD including the high profile hiring of Richard Pitino as head men's basketball coach.
