The University of South Dakota's new athletic facility has received a $1.5 million donation from CorTrust Bank.

The USD arena will seat 6,000 fans, and will be the new home for the Coyotes basketball, and volleyball teams. The arena will also have an outdoor track and soccer complex. The DakotaDome will be connected to the new arena by a three story building which will house the Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Kinesiology and Sports Sciences departments.
The new facility is in the final stages of design.

Construction will begin this fall, and athletic director david Herbster estimates the project will take 24 to 26 months to complete.

The partnership between USD and CorTrust Bank goes back to 1984. CorTrust Bank will own the naming rights to the club area of the arena.
