Make A Wish South Dakota Million Miles Campaign
Hey frequent flyers! Got any extra miles you're not going to use? I know someone who would be very grateful for your donation.
Results Radio has teamed up with our friends at KSFY TV for the 8th Annual Wishes in Flight campaign. And you can help a Make A Wish family have their wishes come true by offering up some of those unused airline miles.
KSFY is holding its annual Wishes in Flight campaign on Thursday, February 28. Donated miles enable Make A Wish to grant travel wishes to kids facing life-threatening medical conditions across the state.
Most of the wishes granted by Make-A-Wish require air travel, the largest expense of the chapter’s annual wish budget. Your donations go a long way in letting the organization granting more wishes.
The annual campaign has raised more than 12 million donated airline miles since its inception in 2012. Delta and United airline miles are accepted throughout this campaign, and once donated, the miles will never expire.
Last year, more than 1.4 million miles were generously donated throughout the course of the campaign. President and CEO Sue Salter is hoping to once again surpass the million-mile goal.
“Miles donations of all sizes are important to the success of this campaign,” Salter said. “The donated miles save our organization tens of thousands of dollars in airfare each year. Every donation of miles helps transform the life of a child in our state battling a critical illness.”
To make a donation call 1-800-640-9198. Miles can also be donated anytime online at southdakota.wish.org. A minimum donation of 1,000 miles is required for Delta and 500 miles for United.
