Viking Cross Country Teams Retain Top Regional Rankings

NEW ORLEANS, LA -- For the third consecutive week, Augustana's cross country teams stayed on top of the US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association's regional rankings.

Both Augustana teams occupy the No. 1 spot in the Central Region.

Other Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference teams in the men's division include No. 2 Minnesota State and No. 9 University of Mary.

Five NSIC teams are included in the top 10 on the women's side. Trailing the top-ranked Augustana women are No. 2 University of Mary, No. 3 Winona State, No. 5 Minnesota State, and No. 8 Minnesota-Duluth.

Last week the Vikings competed in Division I races at the Roy Griak Invite in St. Paul. The men finished seventh and the women 14th.
