SIOUX FALLS, SD -- Augustana out-shoots their opponents once again, but failed to score a goal in their loss to University of Mary Saturday afternoon.  The loss Vikings drops the Vikings to 4-7-2, 3-5-2 in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action while the Marauders improve to 5-7, 5-5 in NSIC play.

The Vikings surrendered another early goal when a long past found Andrea Muller streaking up the right sideline. Muller then dribbled into the box and drilled a shot into the upper left corner of the goal past the diving Vikings goalkeeper,m Ashley Limmer.

Augustana picked it up offensively, but couldn't find the net and finished the first half with an 8-4 shot lead over the Marauders, but only one was on goal.

The Marauders were held to just three shots in the second period and Augustana took 10, but failed to find the net in the second period.  Payton Pry let a shot fly in the 75th minute from 25 yards out that was saved by the fully extended U-Mary goalkeeper.

In the 88th minute, Maren Werth headed a throw-in from Jessie Huff that just missed the net to the right.  For the game, Augustana out-shot the Vikings 18-7, 5-2 on goal, but came up empty-handed once again.

Werth and Pry each took a game-high four shots and Kara Bartels and Mackenzie Trom chipped in with three apiece.

The Vikings return the pitch Sunday at 1 p.m. to face Minot State.
