SIOUX FALLS, SD -- Augustana lost a heart-breaker in overtime Friday night on Morstad Field to Truman State 1-0.  A header in the 93rd minute broke the tie and secured the win for the Bulldogs.  The Vikings are now 1-2 and Truman State improves to 2-1.

A very windy day destroyed the chances for a high-scoring game and the action was limited to pockets throughout the game.  Amanda Wagner made her only two saves early in the first period.  Katie Hurd and Annie Thoresen threatened late in the first half with two late shots on goal, but both were turned away by the Truman State keeper.

Truman State was active in the second half, but couldn't find the net with any of their six shots.  The final three minutes proved to be exciting with a flurry of attacks from the Vikings.  In the 87th minute, Aleisha Oehlerking directed a Maren Werth corner kick from inside the six-yard box, but it was stopped once again by the diving goalkeeper from Truman State.

Katie Hurd led the offense with two shots and Jessie Huff, Maren Werth, and Ellie Westemeyer all chipped in with one shot.

The Vikings return to the pitch on Sunday to start Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference competition against the Wayne State College Wildcats at 1 p.m.
