ST. JOSEPH, MO -- Three-time defending champion Augustana holds the first round lead in the NCAA Central Region women's golf tournament.

The Vikings shot a 29 over par 317 on Sunday, good for a five stroke lead over Northeastern State, who fired a 34-over-par 322.  Central Oklahoma is third at 323, followed by Concordia-St. Paul (334), Henderson State (334) and Minnesota State-Mankato (340).

Augustana’s Allie Ostrander has the individual lead after shooting a two over par 74, three strokes better than Central Oklahoma’s Aly Seng, who shot a 77.  Sioux Falls' Tavia Rutherford is tied for third at 78.

The second round of the Central Region Championships is scheduled to continue Monday at St. Joseph Country Club in St. Joseph, Mo.
