For a second consecutive year, a deer has interfered in a NCAA Cross Country event. The deer showed no mercy for the runner.

Uproxx reports that during the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional, Justin DeLuzio was knocked over by a deer that was also on the run. The event took place in Pennsylvania.

DeLuzio was minding his own business when out of nowhere the deer pounced on him as if it was an NFL linebacker.

Here's a Vine of the incident:

This is the second consecutive year that a deer incident has occurred during a national cross country event. According to Mark Weinstein, Executive Director of Public Relations at Cedarville University, Kayla Casaletto of Cedarville University was hit by a deer last year as part of a cross country event. The event was covered by ESPN's John Buccigross.

Maybe we should put "Deer Crossing" signs up at future cross country events.
