What Is the Most Popular Beer and Liquor in South Dakota?
When it comes to booze, South Dakota is not unique. According to some app called BARTRENDr crunched the numbers for all fifty states and found that we are no different than Hawaii when it comes to alcohol.
The most popular beer in South Dakota is Bud Light. The favorite liquor is Jack Daniels. We are not unique because Bud Light is the most popular beer in 33 states and Jack is the most popular liquor in 16 states. Hawaii was also a Bud Light/Jack Daniels state.
Iowa was a conformist when it came to beer. They like Bud Light. But when it comes to liquor they are more indecisive and rebellious. Their favorites are Fireball, Captain Morgan and Jagermeister.
Minnesota, despite the fact they often end up on the healthy state lists, their favorite beer is the full calorie, full flavored Budweiser. The most popular liquor is Fireball.
Nebraska, a state that a listener reminded me is within the listening radius of our transmitter, is very unique when it comes to beer. Founders Brewing Curmudgeon Old Ale, a beer made in Michigan, is the most popular in the Cornhusker state. But, like Iowa and Minnesota, Nebraska likes their Fireball Cinnamon Whisky.
