ARLINGTON, Texas - The Chicago White Sox have recalled right-hander Brian Omogrosso from Triple-A Charlotte Wednesday and have optioned left-hander Donnie Veal to the International League team.

Omogrosso was 0-1 with a 6.52 ERA in 9 2-3 innings with the Knights this season. He had 2.57 ERA in 21 innings for Chicago last year.

Veal was 1-0 with a 4.26 ERA in 6 1-3 innings over 12 games in his second year with the White Sox, his third major league season. He last pitched Tuesday, when the only batter he faced doubled and scored.

Chicago also transferred left-hander Leyson Septimo, who has a left shoulder strain, to the 60-day disabled list.
