Throughout Super Bowl XLIX, people all over social media and fans alike were asking the question, who is Chris Matthews as he was the no name guy that was playing like a star for the Seattle Seahawks.

But by games end, the questions certainly shifted to who the heck is Malcolm Butler? The reason being he became the savior for the New England Patriots to save their Super Bowl XLIX victory.

As the Seahawks were on the door step of taking over the lead with the seconds counting down in Super Bowl XLIX, Patriots defensive back Malcolm Butler read a pick play and intercepted Russell Wilson to seal the victory for the Pats.

Now back to the original question, who is Malcolm Butler?

Butler started his college career at community college then finished it at West Alabama.

After being underrated in the 2014 NFL Draft, the Patriots signed Butler in May.

He played 11 games for the Pats in 2014 and started 1 game during that time as well.

After the game Butler said "he had a vision he would make a big play" and by god he did that.  He made a HUGE play to seal the Super Bowl victory for the Patriots and helped seal a place in the history books for the hoody and the golden boy Tom Brady.

The Patriots defeated the Seahawks 28-24 in Super Bowl XLIX.
