As CITI Field is the host of the 2013 MLB All Star, it was clear the hometown crowd was behind the captains, David Wright and Robinson Cano.

It was all cheers for Wright, while Cano experienced a mix between boos and cheers, but certainly the noise was there.

Although they did get majority of the cheers, neither was able to advance to the second round.

The field was cut in half for the second round and Cano, Wright, Alvarez and Fielder were all eliminated, while Davis, Cuddyer, Cespedes and Harper did move on.

Out of the four second rounders, Cespedes and Harper had enough of a cumulative total from the first two rounds to surpass the other contestants and move on to the final round.

In the final round, Harper continued to rip the cover off the ball and belted 8 total home runs.

That was not enough though as Yoenis Cespedes was able to slug 9 home runs and take home the title in his first appearance in the Home Run Derby and in only his second season in the Majors.
