So far, July is turning out much better than June for the Sioux Falls Canaries. After winning just two of their last 16 games in June, the Canaries have gone 2-0 in July and have won three straight following Wednesday night's 9-6 defeat of the Kansas City T-Bones at Community America Ballpark

The Sioux Falls Canaries beat the Gary SouthShore RailCats 9-5 on Sunday afternoon at the U.S. Steel Yard and completed a three-game road sweep of the RailCats for the first time in team history. Playing their best baseball all season, the Canaries have won five of their last six games.

The Sioux Falls Canaries may be playing their best baseball of the season so far. The Canaries never trailed on Saturday night but had to sweat out a three-run, ninth-inning rally from the Gary SouthShore RailCats before clinching the three-game series with an 8-6 win at the U.S. Steel Yard.

Ben Moore threw a complete-game masterpiece on Sunday evening to lead the Sioux Falls Canaries to a 7-2 defeat of the Sioux City Explorers and a rubber-game victory in their weekend series.
