In a 50-game season, a three-game road trip during the middle of the slate doesn’t carry a whole lot of significance.

Sioux Falls swept a two game set from the expansion Delaware 87ers Saturday night with 3,250 onlookers at the Sanford Pentagon. Final verdict was 117-103, but the final margin is slightly deceptive.

Tulsa didn’t exactly seize control, but a third quarter spurt put the 66ers in the lead. That advantage held for the rest of the game in a 99-92 win over the Sioux Falls Skyforce.

In the new year, Sioux Falls is 0-3 including a 116-109 loss to the Los Angeles D-Fenders at the NBA Development League Showcase in Reno, Nevada Monday night.

The Sioux Falls Skyforce had two significant stretches where hot shooting carried them past the Fort Wayne Mad Ants 103-101 on Monday night at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum.

On Christmas night, the Skyforce used a 9-0 fourth-quarter run to build a 14 point spread to thwart the Energy 112-99 at the Sanford Pentagon.

Through three quarters, the offenses were well-oiled machines. Defense ruled in the 4th in a 92-88 Sioux Falls Skyforce win over the Maine Red Claws.

Sioux Falls was the “it” team on Friday night keeping it (the lead) at the Sanford Pentagon throughout the night as the Skyforce steamrolled Tulsa 111-91.
