Yohan Pino has the game ball to prove he belongs in the majors, even if he doesn't have a big league job anymore.

After totaling two runs in the first two games of their series in Seattle, the Twins were eager to score as many as possible Wednesday night. So even after putting up eight in the first four innings, Minnesota players were clamoring for more.

Minnesota's Phil Hughes pitched into the eighth inning, Sam Fuld barely cleared the wall with his second home run of the season and the Twins beat the Seattle Mariners 2-0 on Tuesday night.

Hisashi Iwakuma is back on track, and that should create a serious concern for the rest of the American League. Iwakuma struck out a season-high 10 in seven strong innings, Mike Zunino and Michael Saunders hit solo home runs, and the Seattle Mariners beat the Minnesota Twins 2-0 on Monday night.

Felix Hernandez pitched eight strong innings and Robinson Cano had four hits and the Mariners defeated the Minnesota Twins 6-2.

Brian Dozier doesn't like talking about his power-hitting abilities. When told his manager referred to him as Minnesota's "igniter" over the past couple of games -- during which he homered on consecutive nights -- the Twins second baseman looked embarrassed. "The igniter? Oh goodness," Dozier said Saturday night after hitting a three-run homer that proved to be the game-winning hit in Minnesota's 4-3 victory over the Seattle Mariners.

Both Kyle Gibson and Glen Perkins got much-needed bounceback outings on Friday night. Gibson allowed one run in seven innings, Brian Dozier and Josmil Pinto homered, and the Minnesota Twins held on to beat the Seattle Mariners 5-4.

Chris Colabello had a chance to make a significant difference for the Minnesota Twins on Sunday. However, his third-inning fly ball just wasn’t hit high enough. After hitting a two-run homer in the previous inning, Colabello was robbed of a three-run shot by Seattle right fielder Endy Chavez and the Mariners held on to beat the Twins 6-4.

Samuel Deduno kept the Seattle Mariners off balance for seven scoreless innings Saturday and Justin Morneau and Brian Dozier each homered to lead the Minnesota Twins to a 4-0 victory.
